She has represented and successfully defended private- and public-sector employers in a broad range of actions in federal and state court and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC, OSHA, DOL, and numerous state agencies. Jenny has extensive experience conducting workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints and other matters.
Jenny received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Ph.D. from Northwestern University, M.A. from the University of Cape Town, and B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining the firm, Jenny practiced education law and served as a long-time educator and administrator in higher education, including as a Title IX administrator and civil rights investigator. A recipient of Loyola’s Leadership, Service, and Public Interest Award, Jenny has served on nonprofit boards and community relations commissions and written and co-authored numerous publications, including articles on labor and employment, education law, and constitutional matters, and advisory reports to the UN Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court. Jenny has received national and statewide research and teaching awards, fellowships from the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the Illinois Women’s Bar Foundation, and election to Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Societies. She maintains an active pro bono practice related to diversity in the legal profession, higher education in prison, elder care, immigrant rights, and animal rights law.
