He has both tried and mediated employment disputes, which he leverages to help employers proactively manage risk and resolve complex employment matters. Andrew regularly represents clients in both state and federal court and as before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor (DOL), and Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR).
His recent victories and achievements include:
- Achieving a successful trial verdict on behalf of sales representatives asserting commission claims against a custom home builder;
- Securing a high six-figure settlement for an executive of a waste management company;
- Negotiating and obtaining a class-wide BIPA settlement for automotive dealership employees.
Andrew also counsels clients on internal complaints and investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and employee discipline. He provides practical, business-oriented guidance and assists clients with the development and implementation of employment policies and programs, drafts workplace policies, and conducts employee handbook reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Prior to joining Troester Sharpe, Andrew practiced at a boutique plaintiff-side employment litigation firm, representing a diverse range of employees — from high-ranking executives to over-the-road commercial truck drivers. While attending law school, Andrew focused his studies on labor and employment law, earning a certificate through Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Labor and Employment Certificate Program and gained significant experience as an intern in the Chicago-Kent Law Group’s Plaintiffs Employment Clinic. Andrew has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for 2024 – 2026.
