Abigail Cabanin, Associate at Troester Sharpe, focuses her practice on advising and counseling clients on hiring, discipline, terminations, accommodations, wage and hour issues, and investigations into discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

She also advises clients on developing and implementing employment-related programs and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. She drafts a wide array of employment policies, and reviews and revises handbooks to ensure compliance. Read More

Abigail represents companies facing litigation and administrative agency actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, American Disabilities Act, and Family and Medical Leave Act. She helps her clients make informed decisions and defends their best interest.

Prior to joining Troester Sharpe, Abigail was a law clerk for Honorable James E. Snyder in the Law Division of Circuit Court of Cook County where she assisted in many complex business law and civil law cases. During law school, she was an Associate Editor and a Notes and Comments Editor for the Northern Illinois University Law Review Journal, and worked as Graduate Assistant for her law school’s Academic Success Program, providing tutoring and mentorship to first year law students enrolled in Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law.
